THE STORY

High profile urban explorer and You Tube star Sam Carter (AKA 'Nighthunter'), desperate to keep one step ahead of his younger rivals, has planned a world-first; live streaming the infiltration of an abandoned mansion, Mountfield House in Musbury, Devon.

Entering the building with his brother and five other teammates reveals it harbours a host of secrets. Complete disorientation and a series of 'accidents' soon turn a sense of unease into feelings of dread.

In the obsessive pursuit of Views and Likes, Sam continues to dismiss the paranormal goings-on, and against the wishes of his teammates, insists they continue their exploration.

It's only after the gruesome killings begin that the team realises that the house knows their deepest secrets - and is using these against them as punishment for trespass.

Sam has to dig deep into his psyche to save his team. To escape he’ll need to overcome not just his natural cowardice but also his ego, sibling rivalry and a deeply buried childhood fear and guilt that’s just been exposed...

THE REAL MOUNTFIELD HOUSE

Situated in the beautiful Axe Valley, Mountfield House is a Grade II listed Regency property of historical importance. This rural mansion was built in the late 1700s by Reverend Tucker, an influential local landowner and originally boasted over 60 acres of grounds.

Records from 1836 state it was suitable for any gentleman or family ‘requiring a comfortable and moderate sized residence, and should more rooms be required it is capable of being considerably enlarged’. During its colourful history the house has welcomed many titled owners.

The last one left suddenly in 2005 never to return, leaving behind cars, furniture, furnishings and valuables. Why she left in such a hurry abandoning personal possessions isn't known. Are the rumours that she was scared away by paranormal activity unfounded?

Mountfield House now stands empty and abandoned – a testament to a more glorious past and a dark history that holds many secrets...
